CORE COMPETENCIES
The International Association of Trauma Recovery Coaching expects Certified Trauma Specialists to be able to demonstrate that they have a competent understanding of the following topics. Competency is measured by participation in coursework, satisfactory completion of assigned homework, and a final examination at the end of the course. Competency means that the Certified Trauma Specialist demonstrates understanding of the concept through an ability to explain, discuss and apply that understanding to real world work with trauma survivors as well as those who agencies and programs that work with them.
